Sudan is one of the world's largest exporters of gum arabic — the natural emulsifier critical to soft drinks, confectionery, printing inks, and pharmaceuticals — supplying more than 80% of global demand from the Acacia trees of the Sahel. The country is also a major exporter of sesame seeds, hibiscus flowers (karkade), peanuts, sorghum, and long-staple cotton. These commodities travel the ancient Nile trade corridor from inland farms to Port Sudan, where ALSERO's logistics team manages customs clearing, quality certification, and bulk container loading for international buyers.
